What a ridiculous comparison. It's not as though people who use degen rely on it exclusively. I don't cast my hexes and then just stand around watching the health bars drop. Degen is a part of the whole, not the majority of my damage.
You are looking at physicals doing 80-120 overall and comparing it to a -10 degen situation which can easily be maintained with TWO skills, leaving me plenty of slots for nukes or utility.

Then you should ask to have an update to poison or apply, Poison could act like seeping wound with direct health loss every second. Stacking conditions will not help because there are much faster methods of killing (IE direct damage). Degen conditions were a great concept for PvP, but in PvE they are almost useless aside from getting past the SF cap.

So you want a skill that kills everything quickly and easily through conditions. It's not going to happen.

I wouldn't mind if they increased the degen from conditions
That way you need less conditions to max out the degen and conditions are quite easy to remove compared to hexes.
Or maybe buff a pip of Health regeneration/degeneration to 3hp/sec
